TechCrunch recently posted an article regarding the scarcity of office space within San Francisco and I wanted to add some additional notes / thoughts on the subject.

The article highlights the realities of a thriving office market in an area where new development is nearly impossible. It’s no secret that demand is definitely outpacing supply and new space within the city won’t be coming online anytime soon.

However proposed projects like the Mission Rock development could provide long term relief but in the short term prices will continue to rise as the economy (especially tech and financial services) continues to improve and startups continue to flock to the area to take advantage of the highly skilled, highly motivated workforce.

The post examines the potential impact of redevelopment along the waterfront piers and I agree that the area could become a thriving ecosystem for startups if the city’s decision makers are able to see the opportunity the area provides.

Finding the right space in San Francisco can be difficult, that’s why I’m here. If you need space, let’s connect.
